While there are many places to visit in the Yucatan Peninsula, I have found Cancun to be a great place to visit with kids. You might need a reservation so call in ahead if possible. I kept 4 for each of us and we kept rotating between them and would leave them to dry in the balcony on drying racks. It was actually the perfect place to see tropical fish and my then 7 year old thought it was the coolest thing!
